His performance as a young man suffering from Angelman syndrome, a mental setback, deserves to be recognized. He owns the character through his mannerisms and take on the role. His believable and powerful performance makes the character come to life. Budoy is getting rave reviews and is a shoo-in for a nomination in numerous award ceremonies this year.
Gerald is the son of Caucasian-American Gerald Randy Anderson Sr. and his Filipna wife, Evangeline Opisma. He also has two older sisters as well as one younger brother. He was born in General Santos City but he and his family moved to Texas when he was only three years old. It is because of this experience that he is fluent in both English and Tagalog. Then, at fourteen, the Anderson family moved back to General Santos City where Gerald met Joross Gamboa. Gamboa then introduced him to his manager, and the rest is history.
I had an opportunity to interview him for The Buzz. His first impression showed his cool and humble personality. He is clearly very well-grounded.
