I’m super eager with anticipation for the first ever Beautiful Life! celebration on Sunday, June 28 at the CBS Studios Backlot in Studio City.
Our guest of honor is, of course, the much talked about Ruffa Gutierrez. For this event, we’re not only celebrating Ruffa’s birthday but also fashion mavens who have agreed to showcase their original creations.
These FilAm designers are truly inspirational. They each have unique, stylish pieces that they bring to the runway.
One of our featured Beautiful Life! Event designers is Mul Tayoba. I remember first meeting Mul at a wedding where I was tasked to do the bridal makeup. Nakita ko kaagad ang tatak ni Mul as a gown designer. I was very impressed by his work process. designs are clean, pretty and polished and his punctuality is to be admired. Napaka-professional talaga.
Based in Valencia, Mul formally trained in fashion computer-aided design at the California Design College, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
He was an active member of the Board of Directors of Negrenses of America, Inc. He is currently the elected President of his home town nonprofit organization, Townsfolk of La Castellana-USA since 2000. With his leadership, the organization was able to raise funds to implement various infrastructure projects and extend socio-economic assistance to his homeland.Mul is the incumbent president of the Fil-Am Association of Santa Clarita valley, Inc. A natural-born leader and talented artist, yan si Mul.
Another Beautiful Life! Event designer we are excited to feature is the young and talented Nicolette Lacson. Napakaganda, napakabait at napakagalang ng batang ito.
Nicolette has been making waves internationally as a professional model and endorser. Now, she has the title designer under her belt as well through her own swimsuit line, LolliMe.Nicolette, a 2nd runner-up Mutya Ng Pilipinas USA and magazine cover girl, got into designing swimwear out of frustration over what was available in the market. She could never find unique and sexy pieces that flattered a woman’s curves.
