Summer hoopla: Sweat it out via basketball

Summer hoopla: Sweat it out via basketball

During the summer, basketball consistently remains one of the top ball games among other sports especially when it is played via a tournament or competition. A basketball event could certainly draw a huge crowd and generate limitless possibilities for fundraising.

Aside from a favorite recreational sport that fosters team building and camaraderie, basketball is also considered a healthy exercise that develops stamina while simultaneously promoting competitive sportsmanship. This strenuous game of tireless dribbling and shooting enables a player to cover more than five miles of running activity in just one full game.

A fusion of  Quezon artists in PAMANA

A fusion of  Quezon artists in PAMANA

Different generations of people have seen a huge evolution of creative artistry: from the stone etchings and prehistoric hieroglyphics to the great art pieces of the masters up to the present generation which gave birth to modern art form and advance painting techniques.

Whether formally schooled or self-taught, an artist’s vivid rendition and realistic interpretation of what he feels and thinks creates that peculiar masterpiece that reflects his aesthetic creativity. Movie extras: the unsung heroes of every box-office hit

Extras are important but seemingly non-existent entities in movies, plays, or TV shows. They seem to be unknown souls who linger anywhere in the film’s background. The vast dimensions of Michael E. Bacol’s artistry

Giving in to the irresistible magnetism of the art that has been constantly nurturing within Michael E. Bacol is like surrendering to an enticing and fattening slice of cake. It is like yielding to the  formidable  persuasion  of a diabolical temptation without even counting  what  it  might  cost or considering its negative effect.

Since his childhood days, Michael’s intense passion for sketching, drawing and painting has been evident. It has consistently developed and eventually reached a stage where his peculiar technique drove him to put aside his mechanical engineering degree and focus on his art.

Margie Beof Wisotsky crowned PIDCI’s first ever Mrs. Kalayaan 2012

Have you noticed that in any given situation where fundraising is concerned, beauty searches and related contests are almost always the favorite project? It seems organizers know these could easily attract potential participants and arouse curiosity among avid supporters. There’s something magnetic about beauty as the main object of solicitation in any fundraising event. It definitely works!

Last April 14, the Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc., (PIDCI), an ad-hoc committee that handles the proceedings and theme of the Philippine Independence Day celebration in New York City, once again proved the lure of beauty contests when they successfully celebrated the crowning and grand pageantry of its first ever Mrs. Kalayaan 2012 at Double Tree Hotel (formerly Sheraton Newark Hotel) along Frontage Road in Newark, NJ.
