The Filipino American Seniors Association (FASA) celebrated its 20th Anniversary

The Filipino American Seniors Association (FASA) held its 20th Anniversary Celebration at Los Serranos Country Club last January 19, 2014 from 6 p.m. -12 p.m. The induction of new 2014-2015 officers was administered by Honorable Peter Rogers, Mayor of Chino Hills City and keynoted by Honorable Helen Barber-Dela Vega, the Consul General of the Philippines. The mayor, in his induction speech said that the Filipinos by far are the favorite of his staff among different community groups in Chino Hills and reported the soon completion of the Community Center in the city. The Philippine Consul in her keynote message challenged the association members to continue being pillars in the city. She asked FASA members to encourage the up-coming retirees to join the association and continue the strong connection with the mother land. The newly inducted officers are Terry Alday (President),Esther Siacunco (Vice), Juliet Dogoldogol (Secretary), Amy Tipon (Asst. Secretary), Deling Fonacier (Treasurer), Helen Raw (Asst. treasurer), Rosie Sancianco (Auditor), Josie Saspa (Business Manager), Flor Alcasid (PRO), Venie Begonia and Flavie Dimaranan (Sgt. At Arms). Present in the celebration was Virginia Gorospe, the founding organizer of FASA 20 years ago.
