Jerry Clarito: Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Skokie Park District

Jerry ClaritoJERRY Clarito, a Fil-Am community leader, is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Skokie Park District, in Skokie, Illinois. Elected in 2005 by local residents, Clarito is among the five-members responsible for setting policies and procedures that benefit the Park District and community. The Board is also responsible for keeping a budget and levying property taxes.

Prior to becoming a member of the board, Clarito served as a Commissioner of the Skokie Human Relations Commission for six years.

Clarito is a long time Fil-Am community leader. Clarito is known for his support and advocacy of Filipino World War II Veterans and other issues that affect Filipino Americans.

According to the SkokieNet, Clariot has "produced community forums on hate crimes, promoted intergenerational relationships and cultural identity appreciation; organized and implemented the National Endowment For Humanities Project ‘Who Are We In America.’" He also conducts and organizes workshops to Filipino American clubs in universities.

Clarito works as a Systems & Finance Supervisor at Lutheran General Hospital day care center.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in business economics and a graduate certificate in health care management from North Park University.

He is also a graduate of the Skokie Citizens Police Academy.
