FILIPINO-American Danny Paggao is Mayor Pro Tempore of the City of Oak Harbor in Whidbey Island, Washington.
According to his bio, Paggao first took the oath of office on January 1, 1994 and has served as City Council’s Mayor Pro Tempore for many years.
Paggao is an active member in the Fil-Am Association of Oak Harbor. He is also an elected official of Washington State’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (CAPAA).
Paggao sits on several boards including the Boys and Girls Club, Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters I, Chair of Public Works and Utilities Standing Committee, and member of the Public Safety Standing Committee.
Paggao has two children and six grandchildren and he and his family came to Oak Harbor with his Navy service. He retired from the Navy in the early 1980’s.
