Felix Lopez - City of Buena Park Traffic and Transportation Commissioner

Felix LopezTHE Buena Park City Council has appointed FilAm Felix Lopez as Traffic and Transportation Commissioner of the City of Buena Park.

The City Council appointed Lopez during a meeting on December 9.

As Traffic and Transportation Commissioner, Lopez will act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in the review and development of systems, facilities, plans, policies and programs concerning rail, bus, truck and automobile transportation within the City and/or affecting the City.

He’ll also be responsible for assisting all City agencies in providing input into the planning and implementation process of transportation systems within the City and/or affecting the City.

Lopez will also be in charge of receiving complaints having to do with traffic matters and to recommend solutions, and refer ways and means for improving traffic conditions and the administration and enforcement of traffic laws, codes and regulations.

Prior to being appointed, the United States Coast Guard awarded Lopez the USCG Auxiliary Diversity
Award and the Auxiliary Achievement Medal during the Coast Guard’s national conference last August.

Lopez received the award for his superior performance as Division Chief for Asia and the Pacific, International Affairs Directorate, USCG Auxiliary.Lopez serves as a veteran Insurance and

Reinsurance Practitioner and a Filipino Civic Leader.

He’s three-year term will expire on October 25, 2011.

The
