THE Law Offices of John C. Ye, a Los Angeles-based professional law corporation, announced plans to match cash donations for the month of February for the families affected by the Taal volcano eruption.

Until now, the unprecedented damage of the Taal volcano eruption has affected hundreds of thousands of Filipino families who were dislocated and rendered homeless.

The Taal Volcano started spewing ash on January 12, prompting the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) to raise its alert status to Level 2 due to a “steam-driven” or phreatic eruption that happens when water beneath the ground or on the surface gets in contact with hot magma.

Alert Level 4 was raised hours later after ash and rock fragments column reached up to 10 to 15 kilometers due to continuous eruption. The resulting ashfall affected not only the province of Batangas, but also Calabarzon and Metro Manila.

More than 160,000 individuals were forced to stay in evacuation centers stationed in Batangas, Cavite and Quezon Province.

The Law Offices of John C. Ye recognize the urgent need to help these families in need and urge the public to show their support, as well. For anyone who wants to help, simply call the Law Offices of John C. Ye at 877-278-6890 and make donations to ABS-CBN Foundation International. The Law Offices of John C. Ye will match donations up to $5,000. This will be effective for all donations received until February 29, 2020.

The ABS-CBN Foundation International is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged Filipino families in the Philippines and around the world. “For nearly 30 years, I have helped Californians recover damages for all kinds of personal injuries and wrongful deaths, leading to over 300 million claims for clients,” Ye said.
