UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association Announces The Awardees For The 2015 UCLA PAA Fundraising Benefit

Los Angeles, CA – The UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association (UCLA PAA) will hold the 2015 Fundraising Benefit Event themed, “Bayanihan – Invest In Your Community,” held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 from 10:30am-2:00pm at the James West Alumni Center on the campus of UCLA. The early afternoon starts with a VIP Reception starting at 10:30am followed by a Filipino-style Brunch and program where the annual scholarships and the traditional Alumnus of The Year, Young Alumnus of the Year and the Royal Morales Community Award will be presented. Guests will enjoy an afternoon of community awards & scholarship presentations, silent auction, entertainment, music and fun!

UCLA PAA proudly announces the awardees for the 2015 PAA Fundraising Benefit Event which include:

– Distinguished Alumnus of The Year: Amelia Lovell Sevilla ’89 (posthumous): Beloved student counselor, Academic Adviser and Mentor in the Honors Program of the College of Letters and Science and past PAA Scholarship Board of Director and one of the guiding lights in establishing the UCLA PAA Scholarship Endowment Fund.

– Young Alumnus of The Year: Angelia Trinidad ’12: CEO/Entrepreneur and Founder of Passion Planner

– Royal Morales Community Achievement Award: Professor Victor Bascara ’92 (UC Berkeley) Associate Professor, UCLA Asian American Studies Center and Department
